Solius is designed with privacy at its core. We leverage blockchain technology and end-to-end encryption to minimize data collection while providing secure communication services.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Wallet Information

When you connect your Solana wallet to Solius, we access your public wallet address. This is necessary to authenticate you and enable blockchain-based messaging. We do not have access to your private keys or seed phrase.

2.2 Profile Information

You may optionally provide a display name and profile picture. This information is stored on decentralized infrastructure and associated with your wallet address.

2.3 Message Data

Messages sent through Solius are end-to-end encrypted. Message metadata (such as chat participants and timestamps) is stored on the Solana blockchain. The encrypted message content may be stored on decentralized storage systems. We cannot read your messages.

2.4 Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage to save your session data, encryption keys, and cached profile information. This data remains on your device and is essential for the app to function properly.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

• Personal identification (name, email, phone number, address)
• Private keys or seed phrases
• Unencrypted message content
• IP addresses for tracking purposes
• Device fingerprints or advertising identifiers

4. How We Use Information

The limited information we access is used solely to:

• Authenticate your wallet and establish your identity on the network
• Enable encrypted messaging between users
• Display profile information to other users you communicate with
• Process blockchain transactions for chat creation and management

5. Blockchain Data

As a blockchain-based application, certain data is inherently public and immutable on the Solana network:

• Transaction history (chat creation, joining, leaving)
• Wallet addresses involved in chats
• Smart contract interactions

This data is publicly visible on the Solana blockchain and cannot be deleted due to the immutable nature of blockchain technology.

6. Data Security

We implement security measures including:

• End-to-end encryption for all messages
• Wallet-based authentication (no passwords stored)
• Client-side encryption key generation and storage
• Secure WebSocket connections for real-time communication

7. Third-Party Services

Solius interacts with the following third-party services:

• Solana Network: For blockchain transactions and data storage
• IPFS/Decentralized Storage: For profile images and file attachments
• Wallet Providers: (Phantom, Solflare, etc.) for authentication

8. Your Rights & Control

You have control over your data:

• Disconnect: You can disconnect your wallet at any time
• Delete Chats: You can delete chats you've created (refunding deposits)
• Leave Chats: You can leave any chat or channel
• Clear Local Data: You can clear your browser's local storage

Note: Data stored on the blockchain cannot be deleted due to its immutable nature.

9. Children's Privacy

Solius is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date.
